I had a rather interesting discussion with a friend last weekend pertaining to this subject. I realize that I w/o doubt bring bias to the table cuz' I am a dog owner... I also realize in the name of the system and laws created, and time served that Mike is free again. I also realize that this is symptomatic of what really is wrong with America. The fact that the NFL reinstated this dog murderer is a classic case of elitism in my book. And immunity from analytical future employers who would in a common man's shoes woulda played hell getting future employment after behaviour such as Mike display'd. My friend felt I was being too rough on Mike and America's elitism entitlements...as I see it. He said Mike paid his dues, why should he not be able to return to his former career before his incarceration. I ask'd him at the point, if Mike's crime would have been anything else, say some sort of sex crime or morally charged issue...would the outcome have been the same??? Would Mike be playing ball for the Eagles if his crime would have been the molestation of young under-age girls...I'll bet not...so what makes the moral levity of the issue of killing dogs different than a sex related crime, cuz' the honest truth is here, my friend was stifled to produce a fair and reasonable reply to my hypothetical stance on the subject of moral levity, and where our country draws the line on equality. You mean mike vick? because i have my opinion on that There's definitely favoritism towards celeberties and even more for big celebs such as pro athletes. I, being both a pitbull owner and a football fan think that he should be reinstated. The only reason is: The courts took his money. What actually should have happened was he should have been able to keep his money and be banned from playing in the nfl, but since they took his money I think he has the right to try and earn some of it back; because remember they didnt just take the money he made from dog fighting they also took money that was rightfully his that he earned.

Comparing a dog fight to a child rapist is a bit far fetched I think. Listen I love dogs but to equate them to humans is ridiculous. So to me dog fighting is another victimless crime. Seems if you havent commited a felony at some point you wont fit in. Gives me an idea we could just have a national prison football league! pit bulls are uninsurable. why, because they are an unrecognized breed, and they kill and/or maim unpredicably. over and over again i see in the paper incidences of family pit bulls attacking pets who are on their own property, running into someones house if the door is open to attack, etc. a bit bull is like a defective loaded gun, it could go off any moment. excessive inbreeding is the cause. you may think your kids are safe, but your neighbor's kids arent, neither is the old lady/man who lives in the neighborhood. shrill objection (in caps) dont change the facts, man.
Yea, Micheal Vick and Micheal Irvine aren't even close to the same person. Irvine catches drug charges not animal cruelty. Or he just neglects to pay speeding tickets then gets pulled over and gets paraphernalia charges. For real the Irving and Dallas Police Department doesn't seem to like Irvine too much.
