Hey man look at the buds with a magnifying glass and see if the thc crystals are turning brown. If they are brown then the thc has started to decay and you might want to pick them. you want to try to pick them before they turn brown but not before peak potency. you might want to try pulling a little bud off and throw it in the oven for a few minutes on low and smoke it. if you like the high then you decide. However the oven will make it have a harsher taste than if it is cured properly
