How to cook with marijuana
All items below are prepared from marijuana milk or marijuana butter made from the leaves (or bud) of your plant.
Leaves are an excellent source of THC when used in this manner.

Methods of Preparation and Ingestion
|
Dosage
| Starting Materials | Extract Into | Resulting Doses |
1 ounce of leaves or 3.5 grams bud
|
1 quart (4 cups) Milk or 1/2 cup Butter
|
10-30 depending on desired potency
|
Marijuana Milk (AKA bhang) Recipie:
| Milk: | 4 cups (1 quart) |
| Leaf Matter: | As many leaves as you can fit in 4 cups of milk. |
|
Directions:
Carefully boil milk and leaves for about an hour.
Potency will vary
depending on the amount and quality of leaves used. Typical dose is
1/4 cup milk mixed with chocolate milk. This method seems to
work better than the butter and the high comes on MUCH faster.
Depending on your experience level a good first dose of milk is 1/4 cup but it can range from 1 tablespoon to 2/3 cup.
|
Milk Ideas:
Pudding(one of my favorites), Shakes, Pancackes, etc.
Butter Recipie:
| Butter: | 2 sticks unsalted |
| Leaf Matter: | 1 Pot=approx. 3 ounces (use less if using bud) |
|
Directions:
Bring 2-3 cups water and butter to boil. Add as many leaves as you can fit in your pan and
cover with the butter/water mixture.
Continue boiling
for about 1 hour. Mash and stir frequently to make sure all THC is extracted from the leaves into the butter.
After cooking strain butter from leaf using
cheese cloth. Boil a cup of water and use it to rinse out every last drop of butter from the leaves. Be sure to squeeze
the leaves well to get all the butter out. Put liquid in fridge (or freezer) to cool. When the butter has
solidified pour off water. Butter will keep in fridge or freezer, but keeps best in cooked food!

Green Dragon - Thanks to Van for submitting this method of preparing THC in alcohol.
For the same reason that rubbing alcohol works so well to clean your
glassware, any very strong alcohol will do to dissolve THC. My favorite used
to be Smirnoff Black, but just recently having tried Grey Goose, that might
change.
You'll need:
- A microwave safe bowl or widemouthed jar
large enough to hold the volume of alcohol
- Saran wrap
- A large rubberband
- An ounce or two (schwag/leaf)
- An oversize tea-ball and a funnel are also nice,
but can be done without.
Pour the alcohol into the container and cover top with saran wrap.
Secure with the rubber band and heat for 2-3 minutes (use your judgement on
this, boiling alcohol is BAD). Add the pot at this point, preferrably in the
tea ball, recover with the saran wrap and set on counter - it'll smell
strongly, so heads up. Stir occassionally until cool; the longer you can
leave it, the better. After that, remove the pot, and if desired pour
through a coffee filter to remove the crap. I like pouring it back into the
origional bottle with a funnel, it looks awesome. When done, it should be
the color of pee - but never fret, this is why they invented green food
coloring. Add a few drops and impress all your friends.
The leftover buds, while tempting to look at, are completely bunk - not
only will it no longer get you even slightly buzzed, it'll taste absolutely
horrible. Toss it. Put the beautiful stuff in your freezer and you have a
special treat that'll hit nice and slow, but with *plenty* of strength.
Webmaster's note: from our experience squeeze the leaves multiple times
during cool down and at the end for maximum potency.
