"Cannabis that grows in a hot, dry climate will have narrower leaves than cannabis grown in a humid atmosphere. The reason is that in a dry atmosphere the plant can respirate easier because the moisture on the leaves evaporates faster. In a humid atmosphere, the moisture cannot evaporate as fast. Consequently, the leaves have to be broader with more surface area in order to expel the wastes that the plant put out. Since the broad leaves produce less resin per leaf than the narrow there will be more resin in an ounce of narrow leaves than in one ounce of broad leaves. There may be more leaf mass in the broader leafed plants, but most people are growing their own for quality rather than quantity."
Is that true? Im confused. Is it worth reading a lot of guides? I get confused sometime cuz some say one thing and others say something else. Help!

Don't try to read up on it too much, as you say you will often come across conflicting points. Just slap your seeds in the soil and add water, let nature do the rest. In my experiance without artificial light and fertiliser your bud will not be as strong, but the flavour is far more pleasant. Your choice.

well you should read more than one guide. and you will encounter conflicts on how different people grow. but the reason i tell new growers to read growing guides, is for them to understand the needs of a plant. that first and fore most. bottom line some people get into it and couldn't keep a house plant alive. and also there is no one way to grow mj. or may i say there is no specfic guide on, this is how it should be done and all the other ways are wrong. you should try a system that has worked for someone else. thats just to get experience on it. then you change the way you grow for your needs. try something new and se what happens. yeah you take a chance but if it turns out, then its you own way of growing. get your hands dirty and grow the way it is more sutible for the amount of time your day lets you put into it. oh yeah have fun. and that stuff about the leaves. i don't know
