The puppies I raised 2 years ago with my x fiance, they all have great homes now. I still talk to the owners. Godiva, Truffle, Hershey, And Bubba. And the best dog in the world, Daisy, she died the same day the croc hunter did. RIP to both of em.

Pet chips are not satellite tracking devices. All they do is allow a found animal to be scanned by a vet, which identifies who the owner is.
Yeah we scan every stray anything that comes in. Bunnies, dogs, cats, even some wild raptors (we specialize in birds and get a lot of birds of prey). Also most (if not all by now) shelters/pounds/humane societies scan every animal that comes in as well.
My daughter volunteers at a shelter. She said they have 200 cats and 3 dogs. Poor kitties :sad7: Her and I have rescued hurt animals, including birds.
