how big are the plants / what stage are they in before they start smelling very strong? i want to gather this info so i can round up my supplies for odor control before i need them, i cant take a chance growing until they get big just to get caught by the odor.

You better look into buying an ozone generator, and fast,.My plants are unbearable the last 3 weeks of flowering.. I wouldn't take the chance of growing Cannabis without one.. You can go to www.ecogrow.com (http://www.ecogrow.com) and look for an "air tiger" Ozone Gen...They run around 200.00.. And dont start saying that thats too expensive for your budget..Just think about all the money you'll be losing while your in the joint,Because of odors..Thats right flowering odors:eyes:..Why take chances? This wise advice goes out to everyone on this forum.Think about it.. btw, props to you CG for the massive ass haul on that glass slipper strain, it looks like it will keep a regular smoker baked retarded for quite a while.

oh yeah, how bad is the smell up to the later stages of flowering? like, i have mine growing in my closet, behind a thick blanket (to hide light), is it super obvious, or just kinda "hey, whats that smell?"
i really should build me an ozone generator.. i dont think ill need a powerful one for 2 plants, if they both are female.

one plant can smell pretty bad.

Pimster is right:wink:..Most strains will be quite noticeable in the flowering days,..and the air will feel more humid..windows get sweaty etc..etc.. If your still living with mom and dad,or a relative, I would suggest waiting til you get your own pad,or grow outside..especially if you have to cover your operation with blankets.. I wish you luck my friend, CG http://www.growkind.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Hey superboy, I am in the same boat, I have two plants in a closet with no odour control at the minute.
I was considering using some kind of blanket in the same way you have done to ensure no light leeks in rather then out, even though I have used door seals it still leaks but I relised it would be fucking fire hazard, my room gets so hot at the minute I sleep with no cover and its all down to the closet but wouldn't you say its dangerous using a blanket.
Once I go into the flowering light cycle though it will be fine as I will have lights go out from 23:00 till 11:00 that way when I sleep temp's will be normal. And in the day I leave my room window wide open all day....
Your thoughts on the blanket as I may try something like that their turns out to be a safe method.
My flat mates like the odour that it is giving off at the moment and they are only 5 weeks old, at 14 inches.

for as small as yer "GB" is i'd try the "ONA MIST"...from ecogrow.com....it really does work contrary to beliefe!!!!!...just a shot er 2 each day should do the trick:biggrin:......just a thuoght!!!!....as fer smell?...i think age play's more of a roll than hight!!!...my smell really started to come on at day 21 of flw:smokin:

What im doing for odor control at the moment is on my exhaust fan I taped a few sheets of fabric softner to it. Its only temp cause I know they will start stinkin up the joint soon. With only 2 plants and 3 weeks into flowering my plants are accually smelling like mint. I've never grown pot before this but i'm not sure if this is normal or not. But what im in a couple of weeks is taking my ballast to a hydro store where the guy said he will rig me up a tube to my ballast which will act as an ozone generator. He is charging me $35 for parts and another $20 or so for labor. I'm also getting my ballast wire fixed aswell so it will cost a bit more then that. See if your hydro store guy knows how to set one up. Maybe he will do it for you... Those prices are canadian too btw.

hey, on http://www.amazing1.com/voltage.htm#ozone , what about that "New Concept Negative Ionizer," the one with the spinning motor that emits negative ions. would that be effective for one or two plants?
or should i get a 3000v mini transformer and make my own ozone generator?
