So, I've been invited to a April 20th Party, and I'm planning on baking some mini cupcakes....."Banana Canna Caramel"

Sweet banana cakes made with canna butter of course, with a squeeze of homemade canna-caramel in the center of the little cupcakes, then topped with a vanilla bean buttercream frosting!!!

Sounds YUMMY, huh?!!!

There's going to be all kinds of homemade treats at the party, one of the bartenders is hosting it, and my boss will be there too!!

So, here's my question;
Does cooking the canna butter a long time make it stronger....or less potent? I've seen many different methods of making the butter, but someone said recently that they cook theirs for several days???? I don't get that??

As far as I know, cooking it that long would not increase the potency, now cooking it, letting the whole mixture stew for a day or two MAY increase it, but in my experience cooking it slow for a few hours does the trick quite well. I am sure that if you overcook canna butter you will burn away the thc.

P.S. those treats sound AMAZING :sleepy3: I need me a girlie who can cook some special goods

THC will vapourize at a certain temp, so I don't think the length you cook it will decrease potency but I also don't think it will increase potency. It would just waste some more of your time.

Thanks for all the tips guys! I didn't think it would be too good of a thing to cook the butter for a loooooooong period of time.
Some people's butter is pale green, most likely they used 'fresh' trim.
But I've seen some that is a darker, deeper green, like a 'cured' product was used.

I'm being gifted with 2 lbs of yummy butter from my bartender buddy! He brought in some chocolate chip cookies last night, & we chatted about baking soda versus baking powder in baked goods!

He had me write down my description of the cupcakes I'm baking, so his cute little wife can print up a card to place in front of my plate of goodies!

I'm gonna be soooooooooooo baked!!
And FAT again after eating all those sweets!!!
