Ok, so I've been looking for a discreet way to have a veg cab. I thought about a tupper-ware container...I thought about many an Idea....then I remembered I had a computer "desk" that I got from the in-laws, for which I had no use. However, turn it on it's side, do a few things, you got a veg cab.

Before, with insides taken out:

the Insides:

With the new back:

Where the exhaust will go:

The ultimate plan for this: Turn it into an "entertainment center." The structure is stout enough to support the lights inside, and a tv, dvd player, and whatever on top. The exhaust area will be hidden by the extended side. Soon I will lay down the last layer of white paint. The last bit of the project will be to add a hinged door on the front with false doors to look like any other Wal-Mart bought piece. This thing is big enough to fit a mother and some clones, and will fit nicely into our current bedroom as well as any future one. Functional and practical. I think I will go with jet black for the final finish outside. :smoke2:

Haha....that is why you do it while she is at work! Seriously though, she is just as ready to shed the drug dealer as I am. One of many reasons I love her: She leaves the growing to me and basically lets me do what I want with it...She is actually excited about having an entertainment center for our room! Missing the point of my excitement, but.

But, here is the cab for now. There is obviously a lot more work to be down, got the exhaust/intake figured out, got to fill in some holes, put some bars on the front for support for the top, and add the real and faux doors. However, for now I need a structure to hold lights for vegging until the next flower phase, so I am putting off the final touches until it serves it's first purpose.

After four coats of paint:

With lights inside. It fits 3-2 socket floros. I havn't done the mesurements, but I am pretty sure, when I am ready for it, that my CFL fixture will fit in here. If not, I will make it. :smoke2:

That's gonna do you right!

Looking forward to seeing it "trimmed out"!

Did you know those floros fit before you started?

Peace

I actually didn't measure like I should have. I did do some "base measurements," however, basically using the fixtures for the ruler. The CFL structure will fit perfectly, once the outside metal pieces have been taken off. It was originally a 4 bulb floro fixture, but is about the size of the three 2 bulb fixtures I had in the cab. The difference are the ends, which are winged on the CFL fixture, but easily removable.

I have all the parts for my flower room, finally, but this box will have to wait about another month before I HAVE to at least enclose it enough to start a mum. I will update as I build, the same with the flower room, which is about to go through a major makeover

New growing apparatus gets me all fired up! Building the cab is almost as fun as smoking the bud out of it. Gonna be a nice veg area. Keep it growing Lion...DSP
