Now i have read many forums and sites about the strain known as Sativa Afgani Genetic Equalibrium, and in the june/july edition of Marc Emery's Color seed catalog they show a rather very dark blue hue of suppossly S.A.G.E. buds but on the ME web site it shows it as a very lime green color, including the th_seeds site, i have heard storys of tempatures lower than 60 f induce the colors of purple and blue , and also that a nitrogen defiency can also produce radical colors , but is colorful pot really just a marketing sham? or is it unhealthy pot?

Hi Sage .
i just started up some seeds of Sage x Blue Rhino . i am not sure on the difference between the different colored hairs . but red/orange & purple are generally the most common ..
according to M.E. this is a pure indica .
i will know more in about 4 months . LOL

no mention of blue in the description from thseeds:
The name says it all Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium, a well balanced Haze crossed with a robust Indica That produces a power packed plant with over 20 % T.H.C. Fast becoming a legend, sage took 2nd place in the blind test of the 2001 High Times Cannabis Cup and the hash made out of this plant won 1st place in 2000, both categories based on overall strength and quality. High T.H.C. and low C.B.D make this plant a perfect head stash variety, spicy sandalwood flavor and long lasting uplifting high make this the plant for those who must have the best. Longer flowering time is rewarded with large buds that will seem to double in size in the last few weeks.

Id like to know how your sage x blue rhino turns out, but yea it doesnt say anything about blue on either site, if anyone has ordered from ME recently you can see his color catalog that shows this picture of sage, blue as ever if i could scan it i would, i'm thinking its either a color enhanced photo, or a typo...but what makes it turn color?, low temps, N2, food coloring? lol i doubt food coloring, but i dont know about low temps into budding and n2....
has anyone exprimented

I have grown out of few SAGE plants and YES, some have turned blue with a hint of purples and lavenders. I thought it was a beautifule plant which form extremely dense, hard colas with a soaring cerebral buzz. One of my favs in all catagories. I would love to see what it would do outdoors. JE
