Question about blueberry

in a stoned haze the other day i asked myself a question, and i might as well ask you guys. How was the strain blueberry started? In my haze, the only logical thing i could come up with was someone, (who is a lot smarter than me) somehow, has crossed a bud plant with a blueberry plant. Now i think for sure this is too simple.
