I was wondering, is it ok to add crashed egg shells to your soil mix as a source of calcium? I know people crash them on top of the soil, but I was thinking about adding it to the mix to start with.
My plants are droopy, and lack of calcium could be a problem. I do add a bit of garden lime to the mix which contains calcium, but maybe this is not enough.
Anyway, I am ab out to go out and buy some more soil and lasger pots to replant my beast plant - since its root bound (this could be why its droopy)

Throw about a cup of dolomite lime in your soil..It adds lots of calcium AND Magnesium.. So much simplier, and its real cheap.. And it also stabilizes the ph... Who could ask for more? CG.
