You can read about this strain at originalseeds.com
Someone tell me how this plant is differant than others. I don't understand how this can flower under 24 hour light!
how is this possible? and why can't you clone it? This strain is supposed to flower after germinating.

Here is a link to anyone who wants to read about it:

At $10 bucks a seed, I'd have to see results with my own eyes. They're doing amazing things with genetics these days, however, a strain that:
-Has no veg cycle
-Can flower under 24-hour light
-Won't grow taller than 12"
-Goes from seed to ripe bud in 8-9 weeks
-And has a decent (for it's size) yield and potency
well I tend to doubt it.
No one regulate's seed companies for the truthfullness of their ads. I've heard of companies that lie to rip people off, that are a scam from the get go.
However, if someone buys these and they preform as claimed, I'd like to hear from you.

It has to be a ruderalis plant that flowers automatically. Anyway i heard ruderalis plants are basically schwag and not worth the time or effort.

It does have ruderalis genes and for $150.00 cdn i would want something i could clone. I guaranee you will have a lower yeild as opposed to a plant that veg's and flowers for 4 months. just by the pics i doubt they even got 1/2 oz.

Hey all, this is to let you know ,what I know about Lowryders. So far it's not much. They do autoflower under 24 hour lights. I started my seeds 2/1/04 I started 9 seeds, 5 made it . 2 males 3 female. I only saved 1 male . A mistake I think, as the male I kept whent to 2 feet tall. The male I dumped may have only whent to 12 inches. My females are between 10 and 18 inches tall. The seeds was started in 16 oz solo cups. The Joint Doc. said he raises his in 16oz cups and they go 6-8 inches tall. I beleave they are root bond so stay short. My Lowryders were repoted into 6 inch pots and still look root bond. I do intend to work with Lowryder, and see just what they will do.
I let them go to seed for this time, as I wanted a seed supply. All 3 females are fully seeded.
I hope to get some x seeds off of my Akorn, Matanuska Tundra, and Apllo 11, Cindy 99
As far as smokin that will come later. Seeds are the main thing now

Lowryder is a 3 way cross, Indica, Sativa, Ruderalis. Probably due to the inclusion of Ruderalis, this has a low THC level. It's a very mediocre high. As they only reach a height of about 12", a good plant only yields 7-9 grams. Add in tthe steep fare for the beans, and this is a losing proposition. Given a few years, I'm sure the breeders will overcome these handicaps. For now, I'd stick to the tried and true strains. If your limited by space, you can train your plants, or do SCROG or SOG. Hope this helps.

I don't understand all the interest in lowryder. I will state some facts posted by the breeders themselves. Average plant height is only 12". The buzz is only moderate. Worst of all, the average yield is only 7 grams. With this in mind, why would anyone pay that kind of money for the beans, or waste valuable grow space?
Personally, I don't grow anything that doesn't yield at least 2 oz per plant. I'm not trying to discourage anyone, but, an informed decision is the best decision.

i started growing this plant around the time that it was introduced.i find it to be a very enjoyable strain to have fun with.yield ..with 2 400 hps i got just under 1/2 oz per plant but they were seeded. smoke would be 6.9 out of 10 i just cant put my hands on wither its more sativa or indica.the high is not too potent but its worlds away from mexican commercial.i would give the taste about an 7.9 its good tasting but put it in the dark before harvest or it will taste a lil woody.
ive only grown it organicly in soil my friend grew it in hydro and burnt it but it still tasted ok.joint doctor said the lowryder is not a ruderlis plant but a ruderlis like plant...mixed with wil wonder and oasis ...**** if i know?but guys i would recomend Lowryder but not as your only crop.there is better out there but lowryder is pretty damn good.i started the offical lowryder fanclub on og but a lot of people are confused about the strain and somehow think that we want them to stop growing clones or whatever they got going,i think people work so hard to get setup that they cant see changing, kinda like when ranger danger was telling me my growroom was fucked up and i needed better ventalation,i got mad cause i put effort into my setup but it was wrong so i tried out what ranger had to say and he was right!
no one says you have to give up your setup to grow lowryder!! matter fact it does well in any stage of your growroom veg or bloom so you can put it in a spot thats outa the way or in your main light its up to you. I like the strain and have mixed it with chronic and am growing that out now the auto flower has carried over in all of my hybrids in this first batch cool huh?thats the REAL fuckin skinny on LR and thats all i really have to say about that

Seems like alot of of people have negative feelings on the lowryder strain. Personally i think it is way overpriced for what it is, an mid grade potency autoflowering plant. I personally wouldnt grow it out for personal smoke but it does have some good breeding qualities.
Im about to start a new breeding project with mighty mite, another autoflower plant. I will be growing out these mites and looking for the best male to pollenate My best Apollo 11, bubbleberry, and Apollo11 x MTF females making them suitable for outdoors.
Anyways IMO its good for outdoors or outdoor breeding projects but not your headstash smoke.

id say your pretty on target its good but not a plant you want to use for your whole crop. i find it most usefull in the extra places in my garden that have light but i like huge pots
for my full size mj so sometimes i cant quite fit another pot.and lr has been good to me in this situation.
damn you guys wanna see some drama check out the lowryder threads on og lol

My freind has harvested four of the five plants. Two were males. The other two do not look much like each other. One is very small with no side branching & resulting in one bud. The other is multi branched but still very small.
Read Bonzi not small.

Jay - got some pics now. How do I display them here ?
Erm... as far as i know.. when you post your message type *before you paste the url then at the end of the url type remove the spaces though...
That should work... BTW the pics have to be on a site somewhere... do you have them on OG?

That won't work Jay, I have them on my computer now, I got a new digital camera Monday. I took the other one back & exchanged it.
So no, they arnt on another site. Although if that is the only way to do it I can sort something out.
Isn't there some sort of Gallery here ?
I thought there was.
Vi... if you create a garden here you can do it or you can upload your images to OG. Not too sure how you get to the gardens here as i havent been there for a long while...

You might need to register with EDIT though to be able to see them.
Have it boxed off over the weekend.

Follow the link to my Gallery over there.
There are five shots.
Four of the last & best live plant, including one very good close up & one of the two smaller plants dried.
They are whole plants featured in the pic with the knife.
Tiny things, all left to do their thing in a greenhouse. Organic soil.
