Purple stems

What is wrong with my girls? My fan leaves, pretty much all of them near the bottom, have purple or purplish stems... also the lower part of the main stem, and lower branches have traces of purple in them... IS THIS A PHOSPORUS DEFICEINCY? *OR MAYBE STRESS FROM SOMETHING STUPID I MAY HAVE DONE?

please help! also...*I twist and bend my fan leaves all willy nilly like to tuck them away from the bud sites... Could I maybe be over doing it and stressing em out?

Northern Lights #5... and my closet is at 75 degrees during light, and around 55 to 60 degrees during dark...

****! *dude, theyre in flowering already... please tell me that I can fix this... It seems to be flowering fine... I'm 16 days in when the lights come back on at 4:00 am... and they are growing well... at least compared to other plants I've grown... my first NL5 grow. *

Im using Miracle Grow 15-30-15...

Well, thats your problem..That Miracle grow 15-30-15 os ****, and its not good for growing weed..Also, that fert is for vegging, not flowering..You need to get some Miracle Grow Bloom Booster for flowering..It has All of the required ingredients..It will make your palnt come alive..And the next time your vegging your plants..Try some Peters 20-20-20 it will do your plants some justice..And dont forget a few drops of Superthrive in each watering and fert. ...Good luck to ya man!! I really havent researched much in the way of ferts (I must admit) I'm working on that short coming right now... THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT MAN!

Im gonna pick some of that bloom booster up tomorrow...

Also... Do you think i'll be able to get rid of the purple in these stems before i harvest if I use that stuff?

What is the N-P-K in that?

I have some plants that have purple stems on the leaves, but it is a trait of the unknown strain. It is not always a bad sign.

Could I mix some 4-12-4 X 4, to get 16-48-16, and try waterng with that? or would the nitrogen be too high for flowering? *I mean, the way I see it, Ive been using 15-30-15, and I havent burned anything yet... ya know? herb, I'm pretty sure that its a P def. I mean, One of them isnt as bad as the other, so im thinkin if it was just the strain, they would both be lookin the same... You dont wanna go and mix this and that,..You will most likely lose everything with such a recipe..Just go with the ferts I have mentioned..and you'll be on your way..I have to agree with Herb,Basically, The purple dont mean a thing..I have a couple of plants with a very slight purpling going on..Its so minor, and my plants looks great,Its not affecting anything at all.I appreciate the props..Thanks man.You'll be smoking phatty buds soon if you take my fert. advice:wink:..Good luck.. NL does not have any purple traits. Go out and buy some bloom booster. Your plant needs lots of P for flowering. A P deficancy will result in a long flowering period with underdeveloped buds. Bloom Booster is 52% P. You are early in flowering so this should straiten up. You should not be using any thing high in nitrogen at this point you will delay or **** up your flowering. Bloom Booster is perfect for what you need right now.

i have 15 unknow plants (females) in veg and o nly half have purple stems, i think that when this hapens it is in the traits, maybe something from the parents that not all plants get. any how not worried

Purpling isn't really a problem, if its the strain......., but if it's the P or, more commonly up north, low night temps you should make an effort to correct. If you are a fan of the commonly available ferts, Phillips makes a bloom booster that didn't leave any harsh aftertaste. Remember, no ferts at all the last 2 weeks!

15/30/15 not for flowering?? CG GET WITH IT DICK HEAD!! Everyone who is anybody knows high P for flowering. YES miracle grow isn't exactly the best to use and it gives brown leaf tips at the end of flowering which probably effects yeild but IT AIN'T NO VEG FERT!

I kinda like the purpling up of my plants, adds a bit of colour from that boring green.
WFTS if you start fucking around with lots of ferts youll never get your soil to a nice level, less is better.Also growing indoor is a more controlled enviroment and your plants wont degenerate as quickly if you do **** up. On my midget indica, my leaves turned yellow at the start of flowering, dark purple stems all the way through and my buds are fine. At 66 days in flower (over-ripe) the stems are a translucent green and the buds are still growing.

You told someone the fert he was using was a veg fert when it is clearly high in P which makes it a flowering fert. It is you who is giving the wrong information. Your right PTKO. I was chilling, reading the forums and saw what he put and this wave of anger hit me big stylee and i wrote what i did. After i posted it i asked myself where it had come from. I then thought "**** it, its done now".
Looking at it with hind sight. I recall CG firing all guns at me for giving some dubious advice in the past. When i saw his blatent wrong advice, something must have snapped.
